SHORT SEA SHIPPING

Brantia’s main activity is focused on the Short Sea Shipping trades, as described by the European Union by those cargo movements between European ports including Norway, Iceland, Baltic, North Africa and Black Sea.

Short Sea Shipping includes the transport in liner services, tramp, coastal trade, also to and from ports in rivers, lakes, with containers, imtermodal, feeders, RORO, of cargoes in dry bulk and tankers.

Short Sea Shipping can definitely contribute to the European Union target to reduce green house gas emissions from transport means by 60%. Furthermore, it is expected to shift about 30% of the transport by road over 300 km distance to Short Sea Shipping by 2030.

Brantia is present with shipments of dry bulk commodities like fertilizers, minerals, petcoke and coal from direct Charterers. It performs shipments as shipbroker of vessels between 3.000 and 15.000 mt in the Short Sea Shipping.
